SAP calculations
SAP Calculations C/W Energy Performance Certificates are a mandatory requirement of any new build dwelling. A SAP Calculation is used to show compliance with Part L1 of the building regulations, and is applied at the design stage of build process.
SAP Calculations summarise the energy cost and the carbon emissions generated to heat, light, ventilate and provide hot water to a building.
The SAP calculations is an environmental assessment method used for rating and certifying the performance of new homes. It is a national standard for use in the design and construction of new homes with a view to encourage continuous improvement in sustainable home building.
