Commercial air pressure testing

DTS Air Pressure Testing are able to provide a fully accredited service with highly experienced technicians.

We use a range of fans that have the ability to air tightness test small offices and industrial units up to buildings with an envelope area of 50,000m2. Our equipment ranges from small door fans to a 7.5 ton lorry with an attached fan.

Testing document L2 of 2006 building regulations requires all non dwellings with a floor area of 500m2 to be tested for air permeability. The SBEM provides a statement of the energy consumption of the building and is used to calculate the monthly carbon dioxide emissions and the energy it uses.

Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM) is the government approved method for calculating the carbon emission rates of commercial buildings. We can provide you with your SBEM calculations on all your new build, converted or extended premises, as well as a commercial EPC. The EPC demonstrates the energy rating of the building and as of 2009 is a mandatory requirement whenever commercial premises are sold or rented.

We air pressure test a range of commercial buildings:

  • Retail units
  • Office developments
  • Schools
  • Hospitals
  • Supermarkets
  • Industrial units
  • Sports centres

We are able to offer a range of competitively priced packages for all commercial air leakage testing, alongside site visits and consultancy throughout the entire length of your project.
